For the last couple of years, our ‘coming soon’ list has featured Soho House Amsterdam.
But the wait is finally over…
The city is such an obvious location for an outpost of this megabrand but it took time to locate the right property, settle disputes with neighbours and then several years to do it up. Now, the time has come and we are just a couple of months away from the opening of what is set to be one of Amsterdam’s most desirable places to eat, sleep and play.
Based in a landmark city property called the Bungehuis which was built in the 1930’s, the 6 floor National Monument will house the club, a 79 room hotel, a Cecconi’s restaurant, gym, Cowshed spa, screening room, games room, library and roof terrace. There’s also be space for 100 bikes and even a small workshop for repairs.
Oh yes….and there’s also a rooftop POOL! a super-rare treat to find in this compact city.
We are dying to go. It’s bound to become a bit of a “Soho Circus” like its sister properties but there’s no doubt that it will be a great addition to the hotel scene, giving the Hoxton a run for its money. Interesting given it currently operates Lotti’s restaurant there in a partnership arrangement.
Below are artist drawings of the interior, but we’ve seen a video with snapshots of the finished interior and frankly its extraordinary and way better than even these impressions suggest.
Keeping watching this space for more!
