The Hoxton Hotel

The Hoxton Hotel opened in Amsterdam in 2015 and quickly became the sceney place for agency-types.  There’s everything you’d expect at a hipster hangout with Soho House associations.  The restaurant, Lotti’s is run in partnership with the Soho House group and the Apartment has five “membership-club” style rooms for hire for daytime meetings or night time events).

The location on the Herengracht is pretty unparalleled and the lobby is a fantastic place to hang out if you have a few hours to chill – trust me no one will mind if you whip out your macbook air here.

Rooms are small (the showcase picture attached is very much the exception!) – though if ‘cosy’ and ‘shoebox’ are too snug they also have ‘roomy’ and ‘biggy’.

And don’t be surprised if you see TikTokers strolling in. The addition of their beloved retro photobooth drives steady footfall.

You’ll struggle to hear a word of Dutch here even amongst the staff but if you’re looking for a reliable, hip option you can do a lot worse.

They’ve also recently opened the Hoxton Lloyd which is much bigger and a little further out in the Eastern Docklands but with all the style notes we’ve come to expect as Shoreditch takes over the world.
