Kids big and small absolutely adore the world-renowned model-village Madurodam near Scheveningen, ours want to go every time we visit the Netherlands (and watch YouTube of videos of it when we’re not there!). Moving planes, trucks, boats, trains – its got it all and is a hugely popular tourist attraction. Spend the morning enjoying the mini-Netherlands then head just down the road to the incredible pavilions at the beach for lunch and more. If the lure of the wide and endless sand doesn’t tempt you (or weather prohibits) spend the afternoon at the lovely hands-on aquarium.
